Polar is a beautiful 1 year old male Smooth Fox Terrier / Danish Swedish Farmdog mix. And basically still a puppy at only 12 months old. but won’t get any larger. He is a loca; Maquoketa dog and is not very big at only around 35lbs. He is probably one of the most popular coloring of dogs…white with black spots. This sweet boy is smart and eager to please. Polar is happy, fun-loving, affectionate, and loves attention. Polar is sweet as can be and loves to play, romp and explore. Polar is one of our longest residents and because of this, he is getting bored to death at the shelter with lack of exercise, play and human attention. So when you let Polar out of his kennel, he has a habit of getting overly excited to be out and wants to go everywhere and see everything before he has to go back in. This type of hyperness is common among long-stay kennel dogs and will wear off once out of the shelter environment. Polar is such a friendly outgoing boy and doesn’t get the human attention he needs here in the shelter, and when we took him out to video (on a busy Death Row Dog transport day with tons of people and dogs in the lot) Poler just wanted to meet and greet everyone. Wal-Mart should hire him as their greeter…he would be their best employee!
