Nearly every science student learns about Pavlov’s drooling dogs. In Pavlov’s experiment, dogs were offered food with the chime of a bell. Naturally, the dogs drooled at the sight of the yummy food. But after enough reinforcement, the dogs would drool at just the sound of the chime with no food present at all.
Pet owner Kirk Miller decided to conduct a similar experiment where he gave his cute Dachshund puppy a bell to ring in order to be offered a snack. The cute puppy quickly learned to ring the bell over and over.
