Cute Puppies Playing With Tug-O-War With Their Mother They Are About 7 Weeks Old
This is another drill that I use to teach steadiness in a working competitive hunt test Labrador Retriever by letting him see the picture of you away from him and having to sit through a few launches, and then rewarding him with a retrieve in the opposite direction. Having the dog maintain a sit away from you gives him a more thorough and complete understanding of ‘steadiness’. Launching bumpers closer to him, makes it a bit more difficult than when they are launched much further, but it is good to show him the consistency of command through all forms of obedience to shape his behavior properly. www.sitmeanssit.com Fred Hassen with ‘Charger’
Another busy day! Dog lovers are great! I appreciate all of the compliments on the videos and especially on the puppies. One couple commented that Mocha’s puppies are about the same size as a 4 week old litter they visited yesterday! That’s not to say her puppies will be huge, just that they are being well cared for and they are developing quickly. Please rate and comment on the videos. I do appreciate the comments and questions! www.sitmeanssit.com Just thought I’d give you all an update on my now 6 month old Black Labrador Retriever puppy “Kohl”. They sure grow fast! It has been hot in Las Vegas and it is just starting to cool off so I can get out there a little more. Soon he will be taking his first hunt test. I am using a ‘Thunder 100′ launcher that simulates a live shot gun sound and launches bumpers.
These are our 4 day old yellow labrador retriever puppies… I have them lined up on their backs, and they are so calm they just lay there and snooze. =]
