Then for you have a decent (not even good) job that covers Healthcare and dental, that is a big bite out of the cost. If you have 2 or more a lot of times one parent will stay home because it’s way cheaper than daycare.
Then if you send your kids to public school and are content with them doing the community college -> real college route (available is tons of states) or if you make sure they major in something that has a high rate of employment. Then you are good to go.
So the major costs are: normal kid stuff with the first (crib stroller cars eats etc), housing (bigger house is needed), then school/daycare, and lastly food.
It can be expensive for sure but if you make some lifestyle changes you’ll get on pretty well.
