Sorry this is late. I am having upload issues. The puppies are now responding to sounds. They are still waddling around, but should soon start to walk. I have started cleaning the box 3 times per day. I line the “potty” side of the box with newspaper, and I put the pups there while I clean the whelping side. A couple of them wet the paper. They are really challenging Mocha’s ability to keep them clean. The amount of elimination from the pups has increase quite a bit and Mocha has had an upset stomach the last two nights. The puppies are growing fast and need more from Mocha, so we increased her food again. She gets puppy food, cottage cheese and eggs in the morning and at dinner time. Midday and at night we put out dry puppy food. She has been eating most of it. It is also helping to settle her stomach, and I have been getting better sleep! The first 3 weeks, the puppies mostly eat sleep and poop. So, needless to say, it is a challenge to capture exciting footage. As they get a little older, they will start to play more. The videos are just a simple log. 5 to 10 minutes of footage each day until they are ready to go home with their new families! I hope you enjoy them! Please rate and comment! John@FetchinPups.com
Another of the daily video series! Puppies get puppy food for the second time and they emphatically tell me to feed them more! I am trying to ease the food into their diets, so their bodies don’t have trouble with elimination. They are really starting to get cute! Puppy breath is my Kryptonite.
Merry Christmas! Things don’t always go as planned. I accidentally made too much food this morning, so the puppies are really not in the mood top eat at 2pm. Our plan is to feed them 3 time a day from here on out. 8-9, 2-3, and 8-9 We have been feeding them 1/2 cup of puppy food softened with a little over 1/8 cup of warm water; twice a day (9-10 and 7-8). Now we will feed them 3 times per day at about 1/3 cup softened with 1/4 of as much warm water. Two additional notes: We will not let the food soften as much over the next few days. They will be eating dry puppy food by New Years. Also, we will gradually increase the amount of food slightly. We have started keeping Mocha from the puppies during the day and decrease her food to continue to help her “dry” up. Mocha and the pups will just have together time at night only for the next week. I hope to hear from the new families over the next couple of days as well! Merry Christmas! Thanks for watching! John
