Bella’s beauties on day 5. They are changing so much every day. Bella is still trying to’dig’ . In the wild she would ‘hide’ her pups in a hole, so her instinct is to dig to keep them from predators. She will only go away from them to go out for a minute or 2 at a time. She is constantly cleaning each one and nudging them so they are close to her. Of course, the puppies are getting fast and can scoot across the box to get to her quickly, too. This stage passes so fast so we are trying to enjoy every minute! If there is a particular thing you would like to see on video let us know.
7.5 week old Labrador pups go to the water for the first time and learn to swim. A gentle introduction and fun start make for a confident water attitude and easier training later on.
It was nice getting to meet some of you today. We now have 4 puppies reserved. 2 of those have names already. Blue is now named Knox and red-dot is named Ivey! I also weighed the pups today, I will show their weights in Sunday’s video.
Today, cleaning is very easy. Soon I’ll have to clean the box, several times a day! Oh well, it’s worth it! Who can resist a puppy?
Beautiful AKC registered Pointing Lab Puppies for sale. We specialize in yellow pointing labs, chocolate labs, and black lab pups. The Labrador Retriever has long been a family favorite for many of us. The breed is wonderful with children and consistently well behaved among friends and family. The breed is characterized as having high intelligence and just as strong desire to please their trainer. This is why Labrador Retrievers make such good seeing-eye-dogs. In the world of hunting, the breed has been well respected for their strong water skills, sense of smell, amazing retrieving instincts, and ability to be trained to work as a partner in the hunt with the trainer. Now add the natural instinct to point upland game rather than flush it, and you have what we and many top hunting professionals believe to be the perfect hunting companion. The pointing instinct now found in this line is comparable to any of the pointing lines of dogs, and can be developed through training to ensure that there is consistency in the field. We love this breeding and are confident that you will too. Feel free to contact us for more information. www.thorncreekkennels.com
