An adorable yellow Lab named Beacon was confused by his encounter with a lobster at a home in York County, Massachusetts, on July 14.

In the video, Beacon can be seen staring, pouncing and barking at a lobster on the kitchen floor while looking back at his owners in apparent confusion.

“Before we made lobster rolls, we decided to introduce the lobster to our 1-year-old yellow Lab, Beacon,” one of the owners said. “He was simultaneously confused and intrigued. Is the lobster a friend or foe? Is it tasty? Why isn’t he playing back? Beacon doesn’t know, and probably never will.”
