Chital in velvet in Corbett National Park. Axis axis or Cheetal / spotted Deer with velvet antlers. Seen here at the edge of Dhikala chaur or grassland. Deer usually feed from just before sunset until after dark and again right about sunrise. Deer have been known to feed late into the night under a full moon. Cold weather in the winter can cause deer to get up and browse during the day.
